Ultimate Ascent

I designed prototyped and built multiple components including:

  • Disk loading, storage, and firing mechanism
  • Contoured wheels to maximize static friction for climbing the pyramid
  • Pneumatic bi-stable shooting angle

I calculated disk compression to eliminate skidding.

Rebound Rumble

CAD to Model to Manufacture:

  • Belt tensioner
  • Ball pickup and lift assembly
  • Optical sensor and tachometer mount to regulate power for the shooter motor

I calculated optimal mounting locations to lower center of mass.

Aerial Assist

I designed, tested, and constructed:

  • Winch to retract elastic shooter
  • Housing to retain ball while elastic potential was imparted 
  • Pneumatic release mechanism
  • Ball pickup mechanism

I graphed and manipulated angular velocities to rangle stray balls.
